I am a (sometimes) freelance journalist living near the beach in sunny San Diego. I live with a loving very cat-like cat (independent, outdoorsy, fiesty and sweet), a great husband (also independent and outdoorsy and very sweet), and two super-sweet boys. I like to knit while watching TV and I also sew, mainly quilting and small items like bags and toys. My blog name, The Nut Graf, comes from a journalism term meaning the paragraph that sums up the story.

Hi – I saw your cotton angora striped poncho on flickr and love it, love it, love it. Did you use a pattern? I’d love to try making one for myself.
Thanks!

Hi
I have made three of the turkish capes using my own patterns and I love them. I like using alpaca as it is so soft and warm. Do finish yours- it is worth all the effort. Call me if you have questions
